Parachute

 This fabulous 10-foot parachute (3.05m) is contructed of colourful, rip-stop nylon and features 8 handles and a convenient carry-bag.  The parachute can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth or machine washed in a gentle cycle with cold water. 

HOW TO INSPIRE YOUR CHILD USING A GYMBOREE PARACHUTE

• On top:  Place your sitting baby in the middle of the parachute then with two or more adults, gently lift the edges of the parachute up and down creating pockets of billowing air all around the baby.  As the colourful nylon swishes up and down, baby has a wonderful tactile experience and an exciting show of bright colours around him or her
• Underneath:  With a group of child or adults around the edges, waft the parachute up and down letting it fill with air then waft back down.  When the parachute is up, call out one child's name - and this child runs under the parachute and sits down as you waft up and down.  Take turns with each child having a chance to sit under the waving parachute
