HOW TO INSPIRE YOUR CHILD USING AN XYLOPHONE

• Playing an xylophone is already an excellent tool for developing a child's fine motor skills.  Try adding some additional learning by using the colour-coded keys.  With your child holding the mallet, sing out some colours for him or her to play to you:  "Blue blue blue, red red red, purple purple purple, red yellow blue" 
• Have a sing along!  Ask your child to play for you as you sing a song.  It can be any song - and will likely not be the correct tune! - but just sing away as your child accompanies you the xylophone. This is a fun bonding activity and also is an excellent way to develop your child's listening skills.
